MEg on the beach

From Raul Fernandez @ Horndrivenradio.com : In this weeks rotation we have added songs from two different bands, both recording covers of classic Tower Of Power songs.  The first is a song from the “Mic Gillette Band” (MGB), which plays a very different version of “So Very Hard To Go” and features Mic’s daugther Megan on vocals.  Also a member of MGB, is former Tower Of Power alumni, and current Doobie Brothers member Marc Russo.  The CD is currently scheduled for release in December of this year, and is currently titled “Moondoggie”.  By the way you can catch Mic on the road with Tower Of Power as he has rejoined the band.

  1. Wow…what an awesome site.!!! I love the updates on your travels, and the receipes sound delicious, I’ll have to try them as soon as possible. I too am a staunch advocate of food for health, and especially interested in what’s happening with GMO foods. It will be interesting to see how you guys incorporate this well chosen philosophy with your many travels. Afterall, you need to keep Mic healthy so we can continue hearing his wonderful music for many decades to come!!! Great job guys.

What a cool web site. I enjoyed each article. I am especially excited about Mic’s new band and, man, how cool is it to see Megan all grown up and fronting the band with her great voice. I can’t wait for the CD to come out!

A very cool web site. I enjoyed each article. I am very excited about Mic rejoining Tower of Power, and equally excited about the announcement of Mic’s band. How cool is it that Megan is all grown up and fronting the band with her great voice. I can’t wait for that CD to come out.

I’m looking forward to seeing you, Mic, on TOP’s next east coast run.

    All the best, my friend,
